Tears of Joy Theatre’s Summer Puppet Camps are a unique experience for young creative minds. Campers join professional puppeteers in fun theater games, daily craft activities, and building on-stage presence and confidence. Each camp culminates in a final performance for friends and family.

Ages 8-12

Circus Skills taught by Paul Battram, mask construction and performance taught by Emily Alexander

Ready to become a ball-balancing seal? A stilt-walking giraffe? A juggling monkey? Run away and join the circus! Learn circus skills taught by Circus Cascadia’s Paul Battram and mask making and performance taught by Emily Alexander.
Performance on July 10th at 2pm.
*This camp will be held at the Tabor Space at SE 54th and Belmont, Circus Cascadia’s circus tent!

In this groovy version of the classic folktale, hilarity ensues as we follow Chicken Little and her feathered cohorts as they disco their way through the forest to tell the king that THE SKY IS FALLING!

The Amazing Adventures of Hercules!

Ages 6-12

July 20-24, 1-4pm

$175
Puppet Camp with Emily Alexander Accompany the Greek hero, Hercules, as he faces the many-headed hydra, invincible lions, magnificent fire-breathing horses, and other fantastical creatures. Victory will be yours!
Puppet making and performance led by Emily Alexander.
Performance on July at 7pm.
